Favorite Maine Garden Designer

Bruce Riddell is the man of whom I speak, and his landscape and garden designs may be my favorites anywhere, not just in Maine.  What makes his work so special is the terrain in which he works - rocks and water.  Instead of seeing either element as a hindrance, he makes them his assets.  Below are images from several of his designs.  If you go to his website, landartdesigner.com, you will fall in love with his work.  Guaranteed!

So what did you think?  Somehow the scale of his plantings, the stone, and the sea seem to make all other landscapes seem fussy.  Makes me long to be in Maine again.  Perhaps this longing is why my next post will also be a Maine-r.
